Important note:

• If necessary, please use only chargers designed for Li-ion or sodium-ion batteries; see “related products.”
• For installed quad-pole batteries, always strip the insulation from the unused positive terminal to prevent contact and a possible short circuit.
• Sodium batteries have a discharge rate similar to that of lithium batteries (approximately 3% per month; this may vary depending on storage conditions) and should be recharged at regular intervals.
• Sodium batteries are less sensitive to voltage spikes than lithium batteries; however, extreme fluctuations should be avoided to ensure a long service life. Prolonged overcharging leads to accelerated degradation and a loss of performance in sodium cells.

Good to know:
Due to their specific properties, lead-acid batteries can only utilize 30% of their capacity, whereas sodium-ion batteries can utilize nearly 100% of their capacity. Therefore, the sodium versions of Louis Parts batteries require only about one-third of the capacity (lower amp-hours) of a comparable lead-acid battery to deliver the same starting power.

Do not use the battery in explosive environments or near highly flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Do not overcharge the battery, and use appropriate chargers. Keep the battery, as well as the small parts and packaging film included in the package, out of the reach of children, as they pose a choking hazard. Never touch the terminals with metal objects, as this can lead to an electric shock or a short circuit. Ensure that the positive and negative terminals are connected correctly. Do not operate the battery if it shows visible damage. Never open the casing, and do not make any modifications to the battery or its accessories. The electrolyte contained in the battery is corrosive.
