Even on BMW motorcycles with a boxer engine, the clutch is subject to gradual wear. And that's when your problems really begin. Before things get to that stage, or if it's already happened, it's well worth installing a SACHS sintered metal clutch for BMW motorcycles. Then you can be sure of reliable power transmission and consistent performance again. The Sachs sintered clutch offers excellent heat dissipation and thermal stability even under extreme loads.
Its friction surfaces are manufactured from a specially formulated blend of metal powders, using a sintering process. The result is a very grippy, highly wear-resistant surface, precision-formed to the tightest of tolerances. The friction surfaces are securely bonded to the disc in the sintering process, which produces pads with a perfect geometry and optimal thickness.

The material used for the friction surfaces is tried and tested on race tracks around the world. It's friction coefficient is some 40% higher than with an organic clutch, for example. That means higher torques can be transmitted and the clutch discs have a longer life.
