This thing looks pretty "space-y," but it's entirely of earthly origin and serves a simple yet very practical purpose: This device is a quick-dryer for items such as boots, shoes, Gloves, and Helmetts. We've simply and succinctly named it the Universal Dryer.
The Universal Dryer dries the items listed above.
In addition, the dryer can reach a maximum temperature of 70 °C, allowing for very fast drying even in cold environments.
The Universal Dryer consists of a base unit and two adapters each for placing on top of or slipping over items. The device can be easily disassembled and, thanks to its small pack size, fits well in luggage.

Good to know:
Any items with a climate-regulating membrane (Gloves, shoes) must not be dried at temperatures exceeding 45 °C. The synthetic fiber membrane could be damaged and lose its functionality.
