Description

Fehling Z-Bar High Width 850mm

FEHLING Z-Bar

Classic 70s chopper look brought right up to date: FEHLING 1-inch "Z-Bars", with their attractive width of just over 80 cm and flat design, will give any bike a cool US-style look, especially on machines with a meaty triple tree. The handling is relaxed and easy, yet this handlebar offers an exciting feel for the road. Ideal for new-school choppers, bobbers and flat tracks with dragster look.

Suitable for both Japanese machines and Harley-Davidsons with 1-inch handlebar clamps. Can be fitted with internal or external cable routing. For Harleys built from 1982 onwards (as from "Evo" controls) with wiring dimple.

Important:
As the handlebar is produced in very small numbers, it does not come with a model-specific TÜV test certificate but with a "Technical Report" (only valid in Germany) for individual test centre approval. Not every test centre issues such approvals. So before ordering, it is best to check with your local test centre or a good vehicle workshop authorised to carry out vehicle testing whether approval can be issued!
Routing the cables inside the handlebar is a somewhat time-consuming job and demands experience, patience and dexterity!

  • Version: high-narrow
  • Available in black
  • Dimensions in mm (L x H x T): 850 x 145 x 120

Note: The "HD handlebar dimple" is a depression on the underside at each end of the handlebar. It is required for Harley-Davidson models with 1" handlebars made from '82 onwards to ensure that the handlebar cables do not get trapped between the handlebar and the instruments. This "dimple" is no obstacle to using the handlebar with bikes from other manufacturers or on Harleys built before '82, and it is not visible to the rider.

Note: These aftermarket handlebars are supplied without a hole for securing the switch units, as positioning varies depending on the bike model. Drilling into the handlebar for securing purposes is permitted: First, ensure that your new handlebar is optimally aligned with the bike. Try out the positioning of the switch units, making sure that they do not hit the tank at full lock. Mark the securing hole and drill the handlebar to the right diameter. To make sure that the drill doesn't slip on the smooth handlebar tube, or if you are prone to mistakes when centre punching or somehow not drilling straight, you should use the LSL drilling jig, Order no. 10005224 (see bottom of picture) - This is the sure way to avoid such mistakes.
